Letter from the Secretary General

                    Dear delegates,

On behalf of the Executive Board of all the committees, I am extremely honoured and privileged to
welcome you all to RNPSMUN 2019.

This MUN seeks to bring out the best in each delegate in terms of both assertiveness and diplomacy
and by its end, I guarantee, you all will learn more than you ever expected and become better
speakers, armed with tact and poise. Though being a delegate may seem a daunting task, I assure you
it will not be without a dash of fun and excitement. Along the way you’ll have a clearer perception
on the issues that plague our world today.

This edition comes with the promise of five intriguing committees which will , without a doubt, give
you an exhilarating experience. The problems are myriad, and the solutions, never binary, each one a
paradox in itself. The New World Order, a prognostication of the transient world , set in a
completely different timeline, a problem which the delegates of the Futuristic Security Council must
ponder upon and come up with avant garde solutions but there’s a catch: you never know what’s going
to happen. While the future may seem a question, the past poses a bigger one in the historic Indian
Parliament, staged by the Council of Lahore (CoLa) . History will take a different turn and
delegates will no longer be just mute spectators. The scientifically inclined will definitely be
enamoured by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). After all, the geek shall inherit
the Earth and in this case save it as well. The truth will set you free and the Press Corps will let
you see. The journalists will be the voice of reason and raise pertinent questions in the nerve
wracking press conferences. As a finale, I present to you the INTERPOL. Dealing with the Thieves in
law, an enigma wrapped in a mystery, no crime will go unpunished in this committee where ‘good cop’
                    gains a whole new meaning.

From being a nervous first timer three years back to being a Secretary General now, the journey
seems surreal and I hope you will enjoy MUNning as much as I do. Here’s hoping to see all of you in
                    the conference this year!

                    Sincerely,
                    Srijan Chakraborty
                    Secretary General
